Painless Opioid Detoxification and Early Abstinence Using Suboxone, Subutex, or Buprenorphine

A safe and rapid opiate detoxification process like the one offered at our drug and alcohol treatment center can assist with the withdrawal and pain of detox.

Medical developments have led to Suboxone detox, which offers one of the most painless detoxifications from opioids possible. Suboxone is abrand name for an opioid receptor blocker called buprenorphine, which is also ingestable in tablet form during the first few months of opioid abstinence. The acute withdrawal phase is often followed by a protracted phase of depression and insomnia that can last for months. At our treatment center, the recovering opioid user is guided supportively through the program of recovery in order to overcome their psychological addiction while simultaneously reducing their level of physical addiction.

Our staff will give you some medications to help you through the 24 hours. These medications can lessen the severity of withdrawal symptoms.

we have medications for:

  • Diarrhea
  • Belly pain and cramps
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Insomnia
  • Restless legs
  • Anxiety

We have individualized treatment programs to treat Opioid addiction and gender-specific programs with a high counselor-to-client ratio that allow us to give the individualized treatment and support that a man or woman needs to overcome their addiction to opiates. We also offer the Reflections treatment program for mature adults.that is uniquely equipped with therapists, counselors, and other addictions professionals who are experienced in addressing the special needs of elderly opioid-addicted individuals.

Our Clinic’s Tobacco Treatment Center has a support program that makes it easier to stop than you think. All you need is the desire to quit and a little willpower. Our Treatment Center dramatically increases quitting success rates by providing participants with a personalized treatment program. With their knowledge and expertise, our tobacco cessation specialists will: Develop an individualized treatment plan based on your medical history, dependence on nicotine, how ready you are to quit and your preferred method of learning.

Combine the appropriate medications and behavioral therapies to help you cope with the physical and emotional cravings you experience as you quit.

Follow-up with you on a regular basis to check on your progress, offer tips and advice and celebrate your successes.

Do you Know: Within 20 minutes of quitting smoking, your blood pressure and pulse rate returns to normal, as does the oxygen and carbon monoxide levels in your blood. Within 24 hours, your risk of heart attack drops. These health benefits multiply for up to 15 years after you quit.

Later studies reported that the combination of buprenorphine and disulfiram (Antiabuse) reduced cocaine abuse. This was published by the National Institute od Drug Abuse (NIDA)

We began prescribing disulfiram (Antiabuse) to our opiate dependant patients after detoxification and naltrexone injection when they reported using cocaine. Patients reported dysphoria and/or nausea when they used cocaine.

Cocaine HCl is used primarily by in insfflation (snorting) and by injection. Methamphetamine is used by insufflation (snorting) and by injection also. Both smoked in their base form as Crack (cocaine) and Ice(methamphetamine).

Additionally the mechanism of action of cocaine and amphetamine is similar as well as the sensations, found useful in the treatment of patients with a cocaine problem, may also be useful in the treatment of patients with a methamphetamine problem.

There seems to be a biological basis and there is currently no other medical treatment for cocaine abuse or methamphetamine abuse. Both medications have a wide theraputic index when used as prescribed. A trial of this combination in these scenarios, cocaine or methamphetamine abuse, seems justified based upon the literature, the relative safety of the medications, our understanding of the similar biology of these drugs of abuse, and anecdotal reports.
