Tamer Wassef MD
Dr. Wassef is a double board-certified psychiatrist, specializing in adult psychiatry. He has a special interest in eating disorders, including the mind-body connection, non- pharmacological management for psychiatric and eating disorders and utilizing a creative and cooperative pathway to wellness.
Dr. Wassef completed his fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania. He has more than 15 years of experience in eating disorders and is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) for addiction and general psychiatry. He also has the distinction of being a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Chief currently serving as Chief of Psychiatry and chairman for psychiatry department at RWJ Barnabas Somerville Hospital.
Dr. Wassef has lectured nationally on eating disorders, substance abuse treatment and pain management in chemically dependent patients, and has published several journal articles on severe anxiety, bipolar treatment and treatment of chronic resistant depression.
Kazeem Olajide
Kazeem Olajide, DNP, APN, PMHNP-BC is a considerate family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. He went to Rutgers, The New Jersey State University for his Doctoral Degree from Rutgers, and obtained Master’s degree in family psychiatric and mental health nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He lends his expertise at CareFirst Medical Group, New Brunswick New Jersey.
He sees patients for a wide range of concerns and consultations like bipolar disorder, mental health consultation, sleep disorder, and stress management. He gives his patients his undivided attention to help his patients.
Dr. Olajide is fluent in English and Yoruba. He believes in the restoration of mental health through an integrated approach which positively impacts their life on a daily basis. He believes in fostering a healthy physician-patient relationship that facilitates assurance and respect.
Matthew Hylton
Mr. Matthew Hylton is an empathetic and warm adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. He offers in-person and virtual consultations at Care First Medical Group LLC.
During consultations, Mr. Hylton attentively listens to his patients, explains their conditions, discusses their goals, and prepares individualized treatment plans. He also educates caregivers on effective ways to support and care for the patient, ensuring that everyone involved feels supported and understood.
As part of his educational training, Mr. Hylton earned his master’s degree in nursing from ECPI University and a certificate in psychiatric mental health nursing from Norwich University. He participates in continuing education to routinely upgrade his knowledge and skills to ensure high-quality patient care.
Nidhi Sharma
Ms. Nidhi Sharma is a nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatry. She practices at Care First Medical Group LLC. She offers virtual consultations to patients with common illnesses, chronic diseases, and minor injuries.
Ms. Sharma understands patients’ conditions, prepares individualized treatment plans, and offers relevant health recommendations. She also answers queries, schedules follow-up appointments, and writes specialist referrals, if necessary.
